Welcome to Meeanee School

Meeanee School is a vibrant small school on the fringe of Napier city.   We cater for children from Years 1 to 8. The school is set just off Meeanee Road in Gavin Black Street, 5 minutes from Taradale and central Napier. Children enjoy the use of extensive grounds which include:  swimming pool, playing fields, hard court area, playground, sandpit, bike track, edible orchard and gardening area.

Currently we have 5 classes and the school can accommodate just over 100 children. We have an enrolment zone in place.

As a school we are very lucky to have a supportive Board of Trustees and PTA group who invest in the future of our students.

Our Meeanee School curriculum has a strong focus on the core subjects and we are heavily into sports and the arts.

CROSS COUNTRY – IMPORTANT NOTICE

Due to an overwhelming amount of children and staff absent with the flu we need to cancel our cross country from the 20th of August to the 10th of September.

Breakfast BBQ Fundraiser. Due to the weather forecast for tomorrow, we have had to make the decision to postpone our BBQ fundraiser.

The Cross country notice that went home yesterday had the wrong date. It is NOT the 15th of August – it is being held on Thurs 20th August

GROCERY RAFFLE – Papakura are selling raffle tickets to raise money for camp. The hampers look fabulous.

The raffle will be drawn this week at assembly.  If you would like to support Papakura and purchase some tickets we will be selling them at the gate from 8.15am.  Tickets are only $1 each.
